Counselling Agreement
This agreement is to be put in place to ensure you are fully aware of what to expect from your appointments and the counselling process. I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework. I am qualified in psychodynamic therapy, this means we may look at your past, childhood and relationships for example. Where it is beneficial we may work creatively, if this is something you feel will be helpful. One of the most important aspects of my counselling approach is that I will never share my personal information or talk about myself during our sessions, the time is dedicated to you.

Appointments
The date and time of your counselling appointment will be agreed at the end of each weekly session. Your appointment is for 50 minutes. If for any reason you are unable to attend your appointment please let me know by either calling 07972 303546 or emailing . Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment will be charged for. Likewise, if I need to cancel your appointment, I will inform you with as much notice as possible using the contact details you provide me with. Should you arrive late for your appointment, I will wait a maximum of 15 minutes after the agreed start time. If you do not arrive I will assume you are not coming and attempt to make contact with you to discuss scheduling another appointment. Not attending your appointment without warning will mean you are still charged for your session. If you are late for your appointment but within 15 minutes of the agreed start time, the session will go ahead but must finish at the planned time. I do not limit the number of appointments available to you, we can agree this by reviewing your progress throughout therapy.

Confidentiality
The content of your counselling sessions remains between you and I, however, there may be exceptions where I must break confidentiality. These are; yourself or someone you know being at risk of harm, money laundering, human trafficking and acts of terrorism. I will make you aware if I need to act on anything you say.

Supervision
As a counsellor, I am legally required to have monthly supervision with a qualified and experienced supervisor. The information I take to supervision will not include identifiable or personal information, the focus will be on my understanding of the session content in order to ensure that I am providing you with the best support I can.

Records
I will keep brief notes of your counselling sessions. These are kept securely on a laptop that only I have access to. I will only keep these records as long as is necessary. Keeping notes of your sessions is very useful in terms of monitoring progress and understanding your needs.

Fees and payment
Fees must be paid each session, I do not offer block payments. Counselling sessions are charged at £50. This can be paid by cash, cheques (made payable to Billie Pursglove) or online payment using the bank details below:
