About me

Billie Pursglove Counsellor

I am a psychodynamically trained counsellor registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I offer professional, compassionate and tailored counselling sessions to individuals. I gained the majority of my experience as a counsellor through offering counselling at Ashgate Hospice to patients with a terminal diagnosis, their family members and the bereaved. As a result my specialities are grief and situational depression. I create a safe and confidential space to work empathically with clients to allow them to feel comfortable and able to open up without fear of judgement, set goals and achieve them. Therefore improving mental health, well-being and quality of life.

Psychodynamic counselling provides the opportunity to explore themes such as childhood experience, patterns of behaviour, attachments and defence mechanisms where appropriate. If a client would like to, there is the opportunity to work creatively when necessary to assist in exploring themes in a more visual manner. The number of sessions available to you will be agreed throughout the course of your counselling journey, considering your progress, goals and safety.
